AI can be helpful only when its boundaries are clear.
AiraMed is designed to support communication and understanding while keeping medical judgment where it belongs: with qualified healthcare professionals.
Our safety and governance approach focuses on clinical boundaries, privacy, security, human oversight, and responsible claims.
Clinical boundaries
AiraMed is a communication and comprehension support tool. It is not designed to independently diagnose a condition, prescribe treatment, tell a patient to start or stop medication, or replace a clinician’s judgment.
What AiraMed is for
- Helping patients revisit what was discussed
- Explaining unfamiliar terms in plain language
- Organizing information already in the patient’s possession
- Preparing questions to take back to the care team
- Supporting caregivers who need to follow along
What it will not do
- Independently diagnose a condition
- Prescribe or change treatment
- Tell a patient to start or stop a medication
- Replace examination or clinical context
- Stand in for a licensed healthcare professional
When AiraMed should route back to people
Questions involving emergencies, severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, dangerous medication decisions, or situations requiring examination and clinical context should be escalated to an appropriate healthcare professional or emergency service rather than treated as routine AI Q&A.
AiraMed can assist with communication. It does not assume the responsibilities of a licensed healthcare professional, and its output can be incomplete or incorrect. Important medical information should be confirmed with the patient’s healthcare team.
Data protection
The practices below describe the protections AiraMed is designed around. Public pages do not include architecture detail that would create unnecessary risk.
Appropriate authentication and access controls.
Encryption protections for data in transit and at rest where applicable.
Audit logging for relevant system activity.
Defined retention and deletion practices.
Vendor review and contractual safeguards where required.
Incident response and security monitoring processes.
AI and patient data
Patient data is not used to train AI models. AiraMed is designed so that the information a patient shares to understand their own care is not treated as training material.
This statement is maintained only while it remains accurate across model providers, subcontractors, logging pathways, and production workflows.
Compliance and assurance
We describe HIPAA, security frameworks, and interoperability standards according to AiraMed’s actual status. If work is underway, we say that it is underway.
Certification, attestation, compliance, or conformance is not claimed before the applicable requirements have been satisfied and documented.
Emergency notice
AiraMed is not an emergency service. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or seek immediate professional care.
